“What I love about working in the Auckland office is it’s not only the central hub for most major companies in New Zealand, it’s also a place full of diversity. From a statistic I saw recently, Auckland is more diverse than Sydney, LA, London and New York. I can definitely see this in the Auckland office. It’s pretty awesome to be able to work with some of the smartest people from all parts of the world. Plus, most of my family reside in Auckland so it’s good to be in close proximity to them.”

“Being from a small town, for me the best part about living in Hamilton is you get the city lifestyle, without being in the big city. The great thing about working in the PwC Hamilton office is that being a small open office, you get to know everyone pretty well. We have a great culture that involves a lot of banter, the odd game of Fifa, social club activities and obviously a bit of hard work.”

“If you want a good start to your career I would definitely recommend applying for the Wellington office. Given the Corporate Finance team is smaller here than in Auckland, every analyst gets a variety of different types of jobs in their first couple of years and it really gives you a better understanding of what you might want to further pursue. The city itself is great to work in; it is a culture hub of art and music with the bars and beaches within walking distance of work. And as they say, you can’t beat Welly on a good day!”

“Christchurch has a new sense of vibrancy and the constant changes means it’s an exciting place to work and live, with our new office being right in the thick of it all. Christchurch lends itself perfectly to a work-life balance and I love that I can leave work and within 15 minutes be on the Port Hills or at the beach, and within two hours be up the mountain to ski in the weekends. The size of our team is a huge benefit, as rather than specialising from the start I’m involved with a huge variety of tax areas and we regularly work directly with partners and directors who are more than happy to share their knowledge and answer endless questions.”
